What. the. heck. is up. friends.
Welcome back to my blog :)
My most recent post really took a deep dive into my prep journey and the health hiccups I had following.
For this post, I'm going to get into the products I began obsessively using in hopes of encouraging as much hair growth as I could.
Let's preface this with I'm probably the most oblivious human when it comes to all things female (that have to do with hair, makeup & fashion, at least).
***I wear mascara daily so I don't look like a complete zombie at 6am. When I do put on a full face of makeup, it's all very natural because I leave a lot of room for error. And fashion, don't even get me started cause its non-existent. In regards to hair, I've dabbled a bit more into product so it doesn't look like a constant bomb when off my head with my curls & wave.
SO. with that being said-- let's get into it.
First.
Before I even wash my hair, I drop Mielle's Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil onto my scalp for anywhere from 30min-an hour.

I massage it into the scalp which, if we're being honest, Is the best part of the whole experience.
But, that aside, rosemary oil has been used by many to promote hair growth successfully, so she was worth a shot.
It's said that this oil helps improve and strengthen circulation (massaging the scalp helps with this, too).
Let me note, I only wash my hair 2-3x/week so i'm definitely not using this every day. My hair would get way too greasy if I tried.
Second.
Once I actually perform showering, I massage COCOmagic's Tea Tree + Mint Scalp Scrub into my scalp for 5 or so min (still maybe a bit selfish, we love a good scalp massage).

Tea tree is also said to promote hair regrowth, but the main reason I used this scrub was to make sure I had a clean, fresh scalp prepped for the product I was going to put in after the shower.
After this Is massaged in, I shampoo and condition as normally.
Third.
After the shower, I spray in BLOOM, Rice Water & Rosemary Growth Formula. I really only spray this on my scalp-- parting my hair into sections and spraying it directly onto the scalp. I don't overdo it with a bunch of sprays into the same section, just one spray per section.
*ADDED BONUS* This spray did wonders to the overall texture of my hair. So so soft.

Fourth.
Although, there are benefits to this next product, a large reason I continue to use it Is because it smells D E L I C I O U S.

Rice Water has been used since ancient times, mostly in Asia.
Among its many benefits, it's rich in vitamins B, C, & E, it contains several minerals important for hair growth, and replenishes the necessary proteins and keratin in your hair.
Lastly. (MOST definitely not least)

If you've read this far, bless you lol
This next product did the most for me psychologically.
Quite literally, cannot say anything negative about TOPPIK's Hair Building Fibers.
***If you're feeling self-conscious AT ALL about prolonged hair thinning, this product is bringing my confidence back daily while the rest of my hair is coming back :)
WELP. Thanks for coming on my hair prep journey with me.
I hope these products can help someone else as much as they continue to help me :)
Stay tuned for the next post about how your fat intake could be affecting your hormones!!
